Hadih (Hello)

Welcome to my shop. My Name is Holly West, I am an Indigenous owner and operator of Heritage Shine Creations. I am originally from Takla Nation, I live in Prince George on Lheidli T'enneh traditional territory.

I am a mother of three, partner, hockey parent, pow wow parent, I work full time as a Director of Education, Employment and training, I live my life on the red road and have been clean and sober for over 15 years. I am full time student in Bachelor of Arts- Major in First Nation studies, Mayor in General Business. Certificate First Nation Public Administration and Associates of Arts in Aboriginal studies. I am a Graduate of a Certificate in Business Administration (2014), Diploma in Accounting and Finance (2016), Bachelors of Commerce- Accounting (2018), Certificate in Aboriginal Studies (2023).

I started this business so I can help our Indigenous people, organizations, schools, community, and surrounding businesses to get started or back into beading or learning how to bead. I am a strong believer that this will help others learn more about our traditions, to bring back our culture and to connect us back to reclaiming our identity as our ancestors ways of life. I am wanting to help our communities in the best way i can.

I chosen this name for my business as I am finding who I am as an Indigenous woman, that we all deserve that chance to learn and be proud of who you are as a person. This name I chose is to let my heritage shine through the creations I made, as I am a self-taught regalia designer, and a bead artist. Handmade from the heart, and now let me help you build your own brand. A good creation can always provide happiness to its owners. May the artisan spirit guide you on whatever path your creativity takes you on.

Snachailya (Thank You)
